200-300 is totally fair game.

1. Academic position in over-saturated large city.

2. Part-time, clinical position in any market (usually large city).

3. PP in the first 1-2 years of practice (low base salary, trying to build)

If you want to start at 350+ right out of residency, IMO you're looking at a large org like Kaiser; rural/underserved area, or an academic practice that's run well (but you will be mucho busy).

Look across the curtain, your anesthesiologist (and sometimes even the anesthetist) will have much higher starting salaries than your surgeon most of the time.
 
What is a good dollar / rvu for ENT?

Depends on which part of the country you're working. It's anywhere from 55-65 wRVU/hr. Check most recent MGMA data.
 
what can one expect to make as facial plastics in large metropolitan city (NY, LA)?
How difficult is it to open a private, solo practice when there is such competition in such cities?
