Hi all, I've just started an informal post-bacc to boost my sGPA. I'm hoping to apply to DO school at the end of this academic year, but I'm wondering if 1 year of classes will be enough before application?
My post-bac plan:
1st semester: HumPhys + retake Ochem while studying for MCAT - take in Nov (2 classes, 6 semester hrs)
2nd semester: Biochem, Genetics, retake Ochem II, Microbio (4 classes, 12 semester hrs)
With grade replacement in Ochem & granted I pull straight As, my sGPA could potentially boost to 3.2-3.3. Undergrad cGPA is 3.4. Working hard to score between 30-35 on MCAT.
Academically, is this post-bac plan enough for DO application or would I probably need to do another full year of classes and apply next, next cycle? Not sure how long DO schools like to see an "upward trend" for. Thanks for any input!
