Information about which school are 8-5 class or 1/2 day classes?

Does anyone know where I can find more information per school about the length of classes? In your opinion what are the pros and cons of been in class all day or just half a day?

I have a friend at NOVA doing Pharmacy and only has classes 4 hrs a day, summers off. He says that it works for him to have more hrs to study. He declined another school acceptance because they had classes all day, and summers never off.....
