if your future goal is be in some form of surgery working in the either the south east or the west coast of America, which international schools would you apply to if u were denied an initial acceptance to US Med schools. (3.5, 26 MCAT) ?

i would retake the mcat and retry for US schools (MD or DO). caribbean schools are fine but just easier for you to get US residency from a US school. If you do decide caribbean you can still match in the US but just alot harder especially in the more competitive fields. your gpa is fine and with an mcat of about 30 without any red flags on your application you have a good shot of matching somewhere. my advice would be to suck it up and retake the mcat. if you decide caribbean look into Ross, St. George's University

I agree with the previous reply. Take an MCAT course (at least the Qbank) like Kaplan or Princeton Review then retake the MCAT and apply to many MD and DO programs. Surgery is not highly competitive but I think a US degree helps. Also many people change their minds once they start and you will have more options from a U.S. program.
