Though Kaplan has a reuputation, understand what you are paying for. The videos and web prep may be sufficient for you or those who want to study on their own and use their resources to the extent you require. Keep in mind that the 6-7 week lectures is HUGE chunk of time you're giveing up. I am not sure if you are a FMG or a U.S student--but for U.S students, that is a huge dent in your time you have for your prep. I ama U.S student but we can take 2-3 "study" month off to take out of town kaplan lectures if we want, and I had some friends who did that. They said it was great, and they taught really well, but ealize that in the end YOU, YOURSELF have to know the material. Sure, someone can teach you for 8 hrs a day for almost 6 weeks straight, but being able to reproduce that recall and that knowledge is YOUR responsibility. My point is that there is a lot of work that you have to put in yourself, besides just going to the lectuers. And being in elcture for 8 hours a day, I am sure you can only imagine how much time you have each nite to make sure that you get enough rest to be able to listen and think through the 8 hr lecture the following morning.
If you are a great lecture person, and can use it as a straight up review ( meaning have done all your reading and studying prior to), then it may great, but I know that I can't sit through that much lecture. I did decide to take a 15 day intense kaplan course, and that is actually spread out among 5 weekends in a 3 month period. So, that works out for me as I can use it as a suppliment to my own studying. Anyways, hope this helps. Good luck.
P.S: If you go out of town, those 6-7 wks ones are like $3300 or 3400, plus room and boards---that's 5 g's--hella dough!
