Hey guys,

so I interviewed at a school about 3 weeks ago. (I would rather not say where for privacy)
It was very conversational, it seemed like the interviewer was just trying to get to know me better. He said that he just really loves my story and complimented me on a couple of things on my app. No hard ball questions whatsoever. I was wondering if that is a bad sign?? How do you actually know you did poorly? I was expecting it to be super stressful and filled with difficult questions. (I feel somewhat ridiculous and neurotic while typing this........................)

You don't know, so stop worrying about it. And many interviews have no hardball questions...they are often more interested in how you are as a normal person in a normal conversation.

Thanks! That's what I gathered from previous threads too.

Interview is over. Your fate has already been determined. Let It Go and now concentrate on the next one.

This is frustrating and I feel for you. I do not understand why a school would invite you, make you spend ~$1000 just to ask you a few questions that they probably already know the answer to based on your application. Alas, this is just the way it is and there is really nothing we can do about it.

As long as the conversation was positive and highlighted your best attributes as an applicant, it probably went just fine. Some interviewers are just more laid back than others.

Several weeks ago I had an interview where the person interviewing me spoke 75% of the time. Outcome=TBD

The interview is not about answers.

Yes, that is how it went. However, the doctor I spoke to also seemed to be a super nice person overall.

Honestly, I do not know what I was expecting by posting my question. Obviously no-one will know until I hear back! I guess I just wanted to share my experience and just read how other people felt and how things worked out for them. It's just nice to chit chat about these things with fellow applicants. Thank you all for your answers 🙂 Always appreciate the SDN community!

Sounds like a terrible time. Getting along with interviewers and having them compliment you usually means you are a terrible applicant and you won't be a good fit.

Come on. It is over. Stop worrying about it - sounds like you did fine.

Just to close the loop on this, ended up getting in at that school.
