Inservice exam results

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Got em today.
Haven't gotten the overall results yet to see where I rank tho.

Given that the national average is 76, I can't imagine that 75 is considered passing. If you look at the passing rate graph provided by ABEM, a score of 75 for 1st years corresponds to a ~98% pass rate on the boards. For 2nd years it's a 95% pass rate and for 3rd years it's ~90%.

You need 75 to pass the written boards, and the score you get on the inservice correlates +/- 5 with what you'd get on the real deal.

Or did I completely miss your point?

So what is considered a good score for a PGY1? I mean a real life good score not a typical SDN good score...

How did you guys get the results of your exam? My program has never said a word to any of us, and to my knowledge, I've never received an email...

If it's anything like the IM ITE, your PD gets a copy of your score with a subject-specific graphical breakdown similar to what you see on the USMLE score reports. How/if they share that information is program-dependent (although I think they're supposed to share it...otherwise what's the point?).

The scores came out early last week. This happened at my program where we didn't get scores until June though, because of an issue with payment. If the program or any affiliates haven't paid, then you won't get your score until everything is in order. Ask your PD

We got ours today (Residency got them sometime last week). We did not get any break down of national averages or SD's....just our raw score.

they give both your raw score and your percentile. my percentile is 71st and I haven't heard from my PD trying to kick my *****... so i'm assuming i'm still legit.
