Has anyone applied for the Institute of Health Metrics Post-baccalaureate Fellowship (IHME PBF)?

I applied this year and am curious if anyone else has and whether interviews have been given out yet.

I looked at the other forums for this but seems the threads have died.

Hey, I applied and haven't heard anything back yet. :scared: They said in an e-mail that they're going to be reviewing applications until Feb. 7th and then will let everyone know by the 11th. I would assume that they're going to notify the people who they're inviting for interviews first and then notify everyone else later next week. Let me know if you hear anything, and good luck!

I also applied for the PBF at UW's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation. The email I received from the program coordinator/administrator also said to expect to hear about interview between Feb 7 and 11. Good luck to you both! Anyone have any idea how many applications they receive every year? I have no idea what my chances are!

I'm not sure how many applied this year but I think that I read that ~400 applied last year, which is not so encouraging.

Good luck to you as well!

400?! 😱

I have been checking my e-mail very often to see if I've gotten an interview. Still waiting and will keep you guys posted whether offered or not.

I haven't heard anything yet... I'll also let you know either way.

Hi!! i applied too--but have not heard anything either. It's either NONE of us got an interview --or they are waiting to let everyone know at the same time. .ol

Congratulations to us all.

A couple of my friends of mine who didn't get an interview last year said that they accept less than %3 of applicants. And he said 400 sounds about right, maybe more though.

I got an interview too!!! anyone could give some tips for the interview???

i applied and didn't get in... i got the rejection email last week sometime

i very casually applied and only found out how competitive it was after
congrats and good luck to those offered an interview!

Has anyone else but me continuously checked the doodle page they sent us to see how many interviews they handed out? lol. So far 43.

I love interviews.

Yes, I have. I feel like 43 is a lot higher than I was expecting since they're covering the costs for those who are out-of-state. They are taking about 12 people, right?

Well, let's not forget that it's funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.. = $$$

44 ppl now. I expected 48-60 interviews to have been offered. And yes, they select 12 people.

did anyone else get a phone interview? i got an email asking me to conduct a 20-30 minute phone interview and am not sure what this means or what to expect. any insights? thanks and congratulations to all!

I did not get a phone interview. i am traveling to Seattle for my interview. Maybe because you live really far? I live in New York. Where are you travelling from?

You got a phone interview?? do you need to schedule the time on doodle, too?

Hey guys, for those of you who have already interviewed, how many personal interviews did you have? I am trying to figure out what exactly to expect...

I got one with Sean and one with the director. How about you?

woo. eventually the interview is over. the program really impressed me. I think if I could get the job, I would learn and grow a lot over the two years. The location and the office are also upscale. The critical thinking assessment was quite interesting but it is Ok. Dr. Gakidou was really nice and we had a little chat over the sparkling water 🙂 although I heard someone said she was mean???!!! I fell in love with the city instantly when I arrived there. I hope I could come back again!!! I am so anxious now..

Yes. I heard back today. I was not selected. : (

Hope you all did though! Good Luck!

I also heard back today, and I wasn't selected either. 🙁 Oh well. Best of luck to you.

Hey everyone, I plan on applying for the 2018 cohort. Any tips/advice??
