a coma may result from an excessive amount of insulin. this excess is due to
A. a depletion of norepinephrine
B. a depletion of epinephrine
c. a depletion of blood sugar
d. an excessively high blood sugar level
e. an execssively high level of both norepinephrine and epinephrine.
answer = C
I thought insulin is released when there is an excess sugar. If there is an excessive amount of insulin, that means there were excess sugar, right?
so this excess of insulin should be due to excess sugar.
a depletion of blood sugar means there were insufficient sugar but then that would've released glucagon instead of insulin.
I think answer should be the exact opposite of a depletion of blood sugar meaning too much sugar.
