Since you are asking about colleges I am guessing you are a high school student. If that is the case I would suggest applying to well known and well respected programs (people might cringe when I say this, but you might consider using US news rankings as a starting point). Then apply to schools you are interested in, see where you are accepted, and choose the one that you like the most. The key though is doing well as an undergraduate, because your academic record combined with relevant research, publications, and extracurricular involvements will determine where you go to graduate school, and your graduate education will be more important to employers than your undergrad. As for courses, once you get to college ask professors and advisors to work with you to plan out relevant and interesting coursework.
