Can anyone provide some examples of med schools that allow you to take classes for free in other university departments. I'm not talking about a formal dual degree program, but the ability to take as many random outside classes as your schedule permits. I'm interested in taking some comp sci classes in med school.

Pitt. We can take up to 6 credits, but I forget if that's per year or per semester. But it's "free." I know a couple of my classmates took classes like Spanish and poetry last year, and we can also take 1-credit phys ed classes.

Do you have access to lynda.com through your university?

That's really, really cool 👍👍 Do you know how the grading works for that? Like, do you still get letter grades as assigned by the undergrad institution? And do those grades matter in any way on your medical school transcript?

No idea where that grade ends up, but I highly doubt it has anything to do with the med school. I think at least one of my classmates who took a class did it as an audit, because there's limited time to attend the class AND do the required outside work for it while balancing M1.
