Interest in surgical dentistry!

Hey everyone!! Im a dentistry student in Melbourne Australia with special interest in the surgical aspects of dentistry (Extractions, implants, grafts, etc etc). Given my circumstance, I believe it would be very difficult for me to get entry into OMFS, however I was wondering what are your thoughts on General dentistry limited to only surgical? Would such a thing be possible? Given I will down the like take the appropriate courses and/or participate in international masters programs?
What kind of implications would this have for me in the future? If anyone can share any wisdom regarding this matter I will very much appreciate it!
