I am a third year rotating through my ob gyn rotation and have really fell in love with it. I never considered ob really before but have really enjoyed the patients and the good mix of surgery and clinic. I am a little worried about the residency in ob though, not so much the hours but at my medical school some of the attendings are very intense and borderline abusive the residents. I know this can happen anywhere and in any program, but are there ob residencies that are less intense? Thanks

There definitely are! Apply widely and interview lots of places - you'll get a sense for where you could be happy.

Absolutely! I put my current place at the top of my list b/c the down-to-earth/collegial relationship b/w the residents & attendings.
