Can anyone recommend some good blogs on medicine or life as a doc or whatever, if there even are any? I live in Washington, DC, Land of the Free, Home of the Blog, so I naturally assume that there are medical blogs that are both as incredibly informative and as incredibly entertaining as their political counterparts out there somewhere 🙂

There's a sdn poster who has a very thoughtfully written blog about her experiences as a resident, intern and medical student: http://drnjbmd.wordpress.com/

I can't help it if your lips get tired.

I love the Panda posts precisely because they are so long and go into so much detail. Other blogs post a 300-word rant about what happened that day. Example: A nurse yelled at me but at least I go to eat chocolate cake with my senior resident at lunch.

What's worse are the blogs that exist to point to other blogs. Panda has only original posts and takes a lot of time to carefully construct his essays. Yes, some of the themes do appear repeatedly, but those are his passions. Show me one blog that's been in existence for more than a year that continually has a new topic each week.
