Does anyone know how long it takes for a letter that is mailed to Interfolio to show up? The doctor I shadowed said she mailed the letter on Sept 17th so it probably got sent out on 9/18/07. It still isn't showing up online. Does it usually take this long? Anyone else had it take a really long time but then show up?
I just want to know if I should bother the doctor about mailing it again. I really don't want to be annoying so I just wanted to know what happened with other people's experiences before I ask her to mail it again.

Thanks for your help.

My husband and I have been having this same problem so I'm starting to think it's Interfolio's problem.

In my experience, Interfolio has been pretty fast when processing materials sent to them. I had 2 people send my LOR's via snail mail and it took about a week before I received a conformation email from Interfolio saying that they had it. It also depends on where you're sending the letter from since regular us mail (in my case going all the way across the country) is pretty damn slow. 🙁

I hope your letters get there soon! You might also want to give your letter writers a prepaid envelope with tracking (or registered mail) and have them send it again. That way you'll know that it made it to Interfolio.

Good Luck :luck:

It takes forever by regular mail. After a couple people sent their letters in that way, I started buying overnight postage and addressing the envelopes for my letter-writers, so all they had to do was put the letter in the envelope and drop it in the mailbox. It only took interfolio a few days with these.

It took a week or so for me, but this was in early early summer.

Interfolio worked flawless for me. Note that if they dont send that cover instruction sheet thing, then the letter is destroyed. :luck:

So I guess I will wait till next Monday and if they aren't in interfolio by then I will print out the cover letter again and go buy an overnight mailer and politely ask if she'll send it again. I think after three weeks it probably means they aren't going to get it, right?

Thanks for all the replies! very helpful

I think right now they might be backlogged as well. It took me about a week or so to get my recent LOR's in if they were not faxed. My previous ones were in in just a few days, but I don't know how she sent it. I didn't give any of my LOR writers envelopes/stamps b/c I thought they would do it electronically but some of them are old fashion and just decided ot mail it in. That is their choice though.

I would call Interfolio first in case they are just backlogged and that way you won't have to worry about bugging your LOR writer again.

I was on a first name basis w/ the receptionist at Interfolio b/c I had a few things to work out...they're nice.🙂

Best of luck:luck::luck:

That's if you can get through. I have had to call them a couple of times, but were busy.
