Hey Everyone!

I am trying to send my letters of recommendation through Interfolio to AMCAS and I am a little bit confused.

Here are my questions:

1. When I go into interfolio, there is an "add delivery" button, currently I have seven letters that I have ready to send to AMCAS, under it, it gives me an option to click my AMCAS ID number as well as my SSN, do I need to click both of these?

2. When I go into AMCAS, I need to label the title of the letters to ensure that the letters match up properly, should I use the same titles as those used in interfolio? Also, is there something else I need to do on AMCAS to make sure the letters I send from interfolio match up correctly?

3. As far as I understand it, for schools that dont use AMCAS for recommendation letters, I will have to wait for secondaries to send my recs to them, is this correct?

Any help will be appreciated!! =)

Click on "start a delivery"
Click ADD next to all seven letters.
Choose your AAMC ID, this is how AMCAS organizes stuff (not by SSN).
Locate/select AMCAS in the destination 'FIND' box.
Click "Check Out"
You will then have an opportunity to enter the "letter ID" for each letter, that was provided by AMCAS.
You don't need to label the letters exactly as they were in AMCAS b/c of the "letter ID."

Some schools will accept LOR's prior to 2ndaries and some will not. Some specifically request that you don't send them until requested...most if not all of these schools were those still asking for paper copies last year. You do exactly the same thing to send LORs to schools except there's no letter id.

Good Luck

thank you!

you are awesome =)
