Interfolio question
Started by taylormade2006
4 per electronic delivery to an institution. So you can send all 4 to one school for 4 dollars at one time.
If you just subscribed/paid for your interfolio account, shouldn't you have some free electronic deliveries to begin with?
Thanks for the response.
I'm not sure about the freebies because I didn't register an account because I didn't want to get one until I found out about the cost.

It's worth getting in my opinion and far better than a letters service at your university. It allows easy and convenient access for you to your letters and sending them to AACOMAS and to other schools/programs that you are looking to apply to and it's also easy for your letter writers to upload letters as well for you.
Thanks again. After realizing that AACOMAS doesn't have an easier centralized LOR system like AMCAS, I wanted something so that my LOR writers wouldn't have to mail to several different locations.
I didn't think we were supposed to send LORs to AACOMAS? Am I incorrect?

You are correct. Your letter writers would have to send the letters to each of the schools you're applying to. This is why I think Interfolio might be the right decision for AACOMAS because then your LOR writers would only have to mail a letter one time.
In the end it costs you money, but at least you don't have to ask your LOR writer to mail to all of the schools you're applying to.
You can also send the letters to AMCAS from Interfolio, so ultimately they only send to one location, despite that you might be applying to multiple schools, MD and DO.
AMCAS has it's own letters service that AACOMAS does not have. Interfolio is used by all osteopathic schools though and is preferred by AACOMAS for applicants to use.
You only send letters to the schools that request them when they give you their secondary to complete. The letter requirement will vary from school to school.
I did my UG at UCD so corresponding with the letters services that was offered to us by the advising would have been difficult since I returned to Portland after graduation. But interfolio has been great to me so far and I am at least comforted to be notified immediately when letters have been updated and I can personally see/send what letters I have to wherever I need them to go.

When were you there? I was at Davis from 05-07 then transferred and finished up at UCLA this past March.
Gotcha, I was biochem and stayed at Tercero then Allegre. Remembering partying in Cuarto, good times..
Nice. My housing transition went from Cuarto to Allegre in South Davis to the Colleges at La Rue for the final 2 years.
Guessing you stayed in the new Tercero buildlings? All I remember about that area was that it smelled like cow manure 25/7 and it had a decent DC.
