interfolio question

I am applying for a research job over summer. The head said it is fine if I just send my PI's letter for med school so I dont have to ask for multiple versions. If I just have interfolio send him a copy, will it in any way hurt my medical application process? I ask because this is a private company, not a University lab-- will this mark my confidential letters as having been sent elsewhere?

Interfolio can be used for not only med school apps, but for work purposes, applying for research positions or anything else. There's nothing wrong with sending your med school letters elsewhere. They're your letters to be used as you see fit. Confidential just means you didn't read them. It doesn't restrict where you can send the letter to.

Interfolio has absolutely nothing to do with AMCAS, so there's no way for medical schools to even know you sent it elsewhere unless you tell them.
