internal medicine clerkship

I'm having a tough time trying to find a 4 week Medicine rotation in the East Bay/Contra Costa county of Calif. I'm a 3rd year and that's been the major problem, at least with the hospital programs. Does anyone out there have any leads that I can follow up on? I'm in the "cold-calling" stage and nothing so far. I'm looking to go this February. Thanks.

You have to find your own medicine rotation? Doesn't AZCOM have something already set up for you?

Tim,

Yes they do, but only if you want to do the rotation in Arizona. Or if they already know of official and available preceptors outside the state. As a newer school, they don't have all the contacts set up, and so if we want to do any rotations outside the state, we usually have to set it up ourselves. It can be a hassle, but we do get a bit of freedom of choice that way.
