Hello fellows,
I just want to inquire how internal medicine in the military ( navy) compare to the civilian counterpart. I am planning on becoming a cardiologist(after active duty). How hard will it be to get a competitive civilian fellowship in cardiology after getting my internal medicine training in the military.
Thank you all

I'm obviously a little biased but I think our medicine programs are quite good and they seem to have a decent rep. I've seen a number of people get out after completing IM and train in civilian fellowships. But, in general, your best bet is to complete your fellowship training in the military. It's actually a pretty good deal and, if you are patient enough, you'll get cards.
