Hey guys i am foreign trained dentist, recently immigrated to the States. (Bay area, california). I will be applying for the international dental program next year. I know you guys might be thinking i'm in the wrong forum & that i should be posting this in the international dental forum. But i'm here coz i need your advice and suggestions. I was wondering how can I make my application stronger? What goes into making an application really solid, something solid, that wont receive rejections, apart from the gpa, nbde's, sops, lors, etc. i've searched on google and found really cliché results like volunteering at library, american red cross, soup kitchens, hospice, nursing homes, mission trips etc. i am looking for something more interesting, some striking feature , something that can set me part from other applicants.
So what did you guys do? Where did you shadow, volunteer, work ? Please share your story.. Any inputs/ suggestions will be highly appreciated!
