Is there anyone who had applied or applying for the international PharmD program in either Nova or Western for the coming fall 2009?

Very glad to find a poster here. I am an IS too and I have applied nova, but I hear nothing from it so far. For western, I am preparing the questionnaire now. Hope I could submit them in time. How about you? Do you hear anything from nova? Nova is definitely my first choice, because it's much cheaper than western. To tell the truth, I am very nervous now. Good luck for both of us.

I am from China. I am eagerly waiting for nova's reply too. Unluckily, I do not know anyone who want to apply the international pharmD program. 🙁 Do you know someone in US? If you hear anything from nova, please let me know. Thanks. At least we could let each other be updated now.

hi, have u heard anything from nova .. you better try to contact them... i tried to contact them... they told that they didnt get my two recommendation letters ..which i sent togather with the application ... i need to send them again i guess ... luckily they have deadline for the supplimentry documents by march.. 1 .. further i tried to contact them its very hard to get to them... did u send your application to western... i have tried to contact western a couple of times they are not picking up the phone either.... better luck next time

I just send the application package for Western University last weekend and I did not apply the IA study access yet. I decide to wait one more month until the end of Feb to apply it because some personal reasons. It's really hard to contact Nova, but someone did pick up the phone one time and told me my application material is complete. Therefore I do not know what I could do now except wait. I really hope I could get into nova, because the total fee of nova is about $50,000 cheaper than western. Since as an international student, we might hardly get loan from bank, so western is unfordable for me.🙁

It was really strange that recommendation letter sent in one packet went missing.. when i contacted one lady told me that you can sent it to the admissions office... again... other one said that u can fax it to the admissions office... did you guys sent the recommendation letters to the admissions office address or the eps adress... please respond...i have read that the toefl scores for weestern must be send by june 1 .. do they evaluate our applcation without the toefl score...how many days needed for the toefl score reports to reach the university ....do u have any idea?

I have got green card just 2-3 months before. It's only six months i have been here. I am an indian. Are you from india? i have got e-mail from western yesterday saying my file is ready for evaluation. ok best of luck for all of you.

well, they also lost my recommendation. i called them and said that the people at eps might have seen my reco letters from last year on file and thus they dumped my this years recommendation thinking that they are repeated copies of reco...

i am the first time applicant ... i applied to western and nova...i need to send the recommendation letters twice luckily they got it the second time.. nothing heard yet.. except an email giving the pin and id from nova... hope its because i have applied for the financial aid...will the present conditions cause a pharmacist oversupply?... atleast i need to pay my loans..

I heard same thing, that Nova invited for interview, but i am not sure, never heard in the past.😕

Yes, I have applied to Nova Int'l Prog. Reading the posts here, I agree that its hard to catch these guys for confirming your material in application file.

I am a re-pplicant for Nova. Last year they rejected my application saying that my file was incomplete and I received that letter after the deadline. This year same story. Submitted my file almost 2months ago, no response yet. I got frustrated and emailed the President of Nova about the issue..Booomm.....!! I get a reply the very next second-my file is complete and under review.

I think the formula for Nova is: they dont send you a reply until after March/early April. Still, has anyone heard from them yet?

I was wondering, as international graduates of foreign pharmacy school, how come you guys don't apply for the fpgee examination and then get fpgec certified. With the fpgec certification you can become licensed and practice in USA as a pharmacist.

I called toady, they said they already contacted the students for interview invitation, so it means now no more interview invitation from western.🙁

angel05 is wrong.no matter what's ur immigration status if you have passed four of bachelor of pharmacy on or after 2003 you r not eligible for FPGEE.
