Hey guys,
I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas about what to do during the summer between 1st and 2nd year. I want to do one of those clinically based international programs but am having a hard time trying to figure out whats a good program to do and wheres a good place to go.

ive done unite for sight for 2 summers and will be going again this summer. it's the greatest experiences of my life. i highly highly recommend that you look into unite for sight. every day you know that you are making a difference, and it is full time daily clinical experience with some of the kindest doctors ive ever met.

I found the program i did through this company. The program i chose focused more on language school with a limited amount of clinical experience because (i went to costa rica and that country limits the amount of help foriegn volunteers can give in the clinics) but i think it worth looking at their website to see if there are any clinical programs there that interest you http://www.amerispan.com/.

What do you want to learn? Do you want to learn language skills too? What kind of experience do you have? Are you fine with eating unfamiliar food? How well do you cope with diarrhea and other exciting travel experiences? All of these are critically important to figuring out what and where are right for you.
