I hope someone can lend a hand:

Every time I open a new window in Internet Explorer, it opens up a miniature floating window, which I must manually resize if I want to view more than 1/99 of the page.

Does anyone know how to reset the default "new window size"? I did a search of the IE help site, and got nowhere.

Thanks.

Close all of your explorer windows.

Open just one window.

Resize that window to the desired size.

Close the window.

The next time you open explorer. It should be the same way you last left it. :)

i couldn't make it work this way. anyone else?

Close all instances of Internet Explorer except for one.
Right-click on a link in the page and select: "Open in New Window"
Close the first browser window using the [ X ] (upper right corner)
Resize the window manually by dragging the sides to the desired size.
Note: Do NOT click the Maximize button, you must do it manually.
Hold down the Ctrl key and click the Close button (upper right)

TinMan's did it.

Thanks, everyone!!!

Exactly why I use a Macintosh.

Speaking of Macs, there are some great Macs that are about to be introduced next year.

Completely revamped iBook and Powerbook laptops -- built-in iSight cameras, much thinner, much sexier, and much longer battery life (on the 7-8 hour mark!). The pictures of the new Powerbooks leave me drooling... mmmmm, Powerbook.

And the new Media Mac that's rumored to be introduced soon is going to be nice. I'm sure it will do for the living room what the iPod did for the mp3 market -- carve out a niche, become a market leader, and give us innovative products. TiVo-like DVR capabilities, iTunes, photos, etc. An excellent use of a Mac Mini platform. My only concern is the ability for something as compact as a Mac Mini platform being used for a Media Mac... will the video card be powerful enough to display on 32" and bigger LCD's and plasma TV's??? Only time will tell.
