Hey Guys, I have a question:

I was never really interested that much in research, therefore, I was considering three options:

1) Internship at a biotech company (probably very hard to get)
2) Internship at a healthy insurance company (easier since i have connections)
3) Straight Research (not really that interested).

Being an Econ/premed, i thought it would be really cool if i could perhaps experience a field with strong ties to both economics and healthcare. However, Im not sure if med schools would feel the same way.

please feel free to share your opinions!

it seems like the insurance company might be interesting. it could expose you to the whole seedy underbelly. I am also studying econ, and this also seems like there could be some practical application.

#2 fits at lot more with your major and will hopefull be able to use some of that knowledge at your internship. Also, it relates your major to medicine in a completely different and cool way.

It's not about how fancy your ECs/research are, but how you can relate them to medicine.
