Internships and EC's??

Hey guys!

So this is my sophomore summer and I really need some internships- I'm not asking anyone to tell me where to get one but I just want to know what can count as an internship?

If I shadow a doctor over a long period of time while learning a lot about his specialty, would that be considered an internship?

Also my other EC's are looking pretty weak so I really need some suggestions on what I can do to make myself a better candidate. any input at all will be appreciated

Talk to your pre-medicine advisers. They will be in the better position to assist you on the concerns you have here.

i dont know about the interning deal, that would be something to ask your school or the med school youre applying to... but what are your EC's? so we can give some feedback and add on from there
