Are pharmacy students required to have their summer internships in the same city as their pharmacy school? Or can you work in other cities as long as it's in the same state?
In WA state it can be anywhere. Technically I think if a pharmacist out of state wanted to fill out the WA state preceptor paperwork you could work out of state under their supervision and accumulate hours. Each state should have their own laws though.
Yes, when you're a licensed intern, you are licensed throughout that state and your internship may be done in any city. I don't know about other states, but here in Ohio, we must register our internship site and also our preceptors in order to log our hours.
