I beleive that clinical clerkships refer to the rotations you do in the last 2 years of medical school in various subfields of medicine. An internship is probably a more general term for that sort of thing not limited to just medical school subfield internships.
An internship is your first year after medical school, also called your PGY-1 (post-graduate year #1). It is the same as your first year of residency. Clinical clerkships are the rotations you do during 3rd/4th year of school, and can range anywhere from a few weeks to a few months depending on the school and the service.
Be aware that other profession have different definition of internship and clerkship. For example, internship for Pharmacy student is different from internship for medical student. For optometry, clinical rotation is referred to as extenship.
