I’m surprised with why majority of the programs have been silent all of December. I was expecting competitive programs to send out interviews early so they can scoop up all the competitive applicants before they sign elsewhere.

Reasonable volume center. Usually take 1 internal and call 40 ppl for interview for 1 external spot.

Seem like reasonable numbers. I think they want higher nos because there is not much autonomy as interventional fellows at mt Sinai so they want ppl to be really comfortable before starting. I know for a fact that they have to work as second assistant sometimes to get all their numbers. ( obviously not because mt Sinai doesn't have enough volume but because they have 7-8 US fellows and there is a contingent from India who come for a year to do a non accredited fellowship

I think it has been quiet ( at least for me ), I haven't heard from any programs for the last 2-3 wks. Yes, I got that email as well.

I'm sure people are hearing back from programs and are just not active on the forums.
I spoke to some of my programs prior grads and heard that they got interviews all the way out in May and June. Majority of them came through in Jan-Feb-early March.

Got rejections from about 14 other programs. Still haven’t heard back from the majority that I had applied to. Have not heard back from Carilion Clinic yet.
