I have heard that fellowships exist for interventional neuro. Is this true? I sure hope it's true, but I thought this was traditionally radiology's domain.

Go to rads forum, there is much posting there about it. Some claim it is true, however rads want to keep it on their turf.

The rads claim that they are better trained in this area and neuros have no interest in doing this stuff.

But it may be an up and coming thing. I mean how many cardiologist did angiograms and stents before. Now it is pretty much their turf.

Are any neurologists actually interested in this field? It seems like many people pick neurology for several reasons that don't seem to go along with the interventional neurology work. Namely, procedures, hours, etc. What do you guys think?
