If you are so crazy about IR, this time go to the community hospital across the street. You will see the Fluoro department. Introduce yourself and ask them whether you can shadow them for a day. You will see IR doctors are putting PICC and drainning abcesses, while vascular surgeons and cards are doing EVAR or stenting carotid in the room next to them.

Wish you the best in your career in IR.

You remind me of the boy who cried wolf.

When you become an IR, every morning you will cry why you chose radiology.

LMAO. IR and vascular surg work together at my place, and vasc surg respects IR a lot because they have much better catheter skills. IR does carotids and peripherals. Cards only does hearts. I went to a community hospital for my gen surg rotation and guess who was doing the EVAR's? IR. I've only seen one hospital out here with cards doing peripherals.
