Program-Specific Info / Q's interview at Alabama State University

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I'm thinking about it. I'm just missing 2 prerequisites so I might get them done first. Were you missing anything? Are you going to be attending st. Augustine?
No, I wasn't missing anything. I'm not sure if I will be attending yet, I'm still waiting to hear back from one more school before I make that decision. The cool thing about St Augustine is that they take applications 3 times a year versus once a year like other schools. They told us during interviews that they accept 6-7 students each application cycle.

After talking to someone I know at Alabama State I found out they have a meeting Thursday 4/6/17 to decide who they are letting in for OT school this year. They will know that day but might not get emails out until the beginning of next week. The wait is almost over and we should find out soon. I want to wish everyone good luck and hope we can all get in.

Thank you for the info! Good Luck to you!

Anyone heard anything back form ASU?

I heard back from admissions a few hours ago. I was denied. I was surprised I didn't at least make the wait-list but I am out-of-state. Congrats to all those who were offered admissions or the wait-list! I would appreciate it so much if anyone who got accepted and lives outside of Alabama would post your stats. I am on the wait-list at two other programs but I am worried that I won't be offered admissions before the start date. This is my first year applying and I have applied to a lot of out-of-state public OT programs. If I have to go through this application process again I would like to get a better idea of what my stats should be like if I choose to apply to out-of-state public schools next cycle. Thanks!
