Hello all...

I have an interview on Friday and they told me that I would be given a case study to review as a part of the process, to test my writing skills and logic, etc. Has anyone done this in an interview? I'm trying to figure out what to review so I can do well on the case study. I'm randomly reviewing materials from my corrective exercise manual and ensuring that I don't confuse the gluteus maximus with the rhomboids, ya know, trying to avoid an incredibly stupid mistake, but feeling a little blind.

Any ideas would be helpful, thanks! A little nervous right now! 😱

Are you serious, I just crapped my pants for you j/k, what program is this for? Honestly, Im assuming it may be a PT patient case study, I dont think they expect you to know exactly what to prescribe, exercises, etc. Just like someone mentioned on here before, when friends and family find out we are going to go to PT school they start asking us questions about their back pain, like we know exactly what we're doing. Im like, I dont know, I'm not even in PT school yet.

Anyway, If I had to guess, it maybe something like the GRE topics, IDK? Thought I could give some type of input. I'd be scared if I had this too, and no one responded.

Yes, what school is this for? Luckily, I'm being exposed to such questions now. My professor for Anatomy and Physiology already include such diagnosis questions in his exams. Supposedly for physiology 80% of his questions are as such, particularly pathways.

My assumption (make note of that!) is that your "case study" would be more focused on general ideas and/or patient management. Notice that they told you they are testing your writing skills and logic. Any reasonable school doesn't expect you to yet know the intimate details of A&P. If I were you I would expect something more along the lines of how you would handle a difficult or challenging situation in the clinic. ie. How would you handle a case in which a patient wasn't progressing/wasn't participating/etc. Good luck!
