I have an interview on tuesday at NYU. I am fairly confident that I can perform well but I don't want to be stuck on a particular question I haven't prepared for. One of the questions I really hate is, Which/What are your greatest weaknesses? I really can't seem to figure out a way to answer this smoothly without sounding fake or being too honest as to make a fool out of myself and possibly raise red flags.

One of my sincere weaknesses is being a perfectionist. But I feel like most people will have the same answer and it will sound ultra cliche.

How would you guys answer this question?

Please, not a perfectionist. It always sounds soooooooo bad, avoid it. Why? Because you think, that you are, but it might not be the reality. It is the same as to say, that you are beautiful, kind or smart - those are things, which other people suppose to say about you. I recently found out, that telling that you have a tendency to overload yourself with work is not a good thing either.
I think it is relatively safe to say, that you are too competitive or wish you knew more languages. At the end the weakness should be an asset of sorts.
Great question, I need more ideas too

How about having higher expectation for yourself? As in always try to improve to become better.(Maybe because it's rooted from how your parents always want you to do well, tell them a mini story...)
Noted how it's different from trying to be perfect.
