Interview cut short

I just interviewed at a school where we were supposed to have a 40 minute interview and an 20 minute interview. 15 minutes into the 40 minute interview, my interviewer asked if I had any questions and we talked for the next 5-10 minutes about my questions. I thought the interview would continue from there, but my interviewer just showed me the way out so in total my interview was only 20-25 minutes. The interview was very conversational and positive otherwise so I left quite confused. Do you think this was just a mistake by the interviewer or did something go terribly wrong??

It is fine/normal for interviews to end early.

My friend had similar concerns at a school. Her interview was 20 min and everyone one else’s were like 40-50 min. She still got in! It’s all good

Was accepted this cycle. I came out early and first from a one on one interview.

similar to one of my interview, the interviewer just asked my general background like where I am from for 5 minutes then asked me if I had any question, then he just kept talking and nonstop, it was like I was the interviewer there

Any number of reasons why it could have ended early. It is possible the interviewer didn’t like you, but there are so many other reasons that are net neutral or positive, so it’s not worth worrying over.
