Just curious (as I will take the advice and call programs I am interested in) when certain programs are offering interviews. I know dates fill up, but this way I can have a heads up before I call -just in case (fingers crossed) they actually offer me one.
So, anyone have dates for the following?
Pitt?
MCW?
Cincinatti?
Peoria?
(reaching here) Hopkins?
I'm more than willing to share what I know about other programs as well.
thanks,

Not to sound snide in any way, but are you that worried? You have more than 20 already according to the interview thread. Unless those are your absolute top choices (I could see Hopkins), why go to them? You've already got a great list of places to go.

On the other hand, I don't have any helpful advice, as the only one of those that I applied to (UC) hasn't sent me an invite yet. I did spend a month there, so one is forthcoming (I've been told).

many programs (mine included) do not offer interviews until deans letters are in. That means that the PD has only just started going through the 400+ applications and will be starting to offer invites in the next week.

Interview season is a dynamic process. If there are certain programs you are interested in, and you haven't heard from them by mid-nov, you should start calling.

what you will find is that interview spots will open up as people start to get interviews at their 'top' picks and they will drop some of thier others. Likewise, as interview season wears on, and people start to realize that more than 10 interviews is WAAAAAAAAAAY to draining, the end of the season often opens up spots as well.

(IE, I planned to interview at 14 places-all nyc centered- and after about 6 I realized that it was way to many interviews, so at the start of january, I cancelled 5 of them)

I realize that I have been lucky with the invites so far-I applied braodly for sure! I'm trying to find where I might "fit" and those programs looked good (to me anyway). Plus they seem to offer good EMS training which I'm also looking for. I will be cancelling some of the interviews i'm sure, but I didn't want to call and have to make a quick decision-
thanks and congrats on the cicinnati invite forthcoming!

Cincinnati does have some excellent flight experiences during the PGY2 year. You do a lot of flying. UChicago does similar flight experiences, but the people in Cinti said that they fly more than any school (FWIW). Best of luck to you on deciding which ones to cancel, it is always tough once you get past the "minimum".
