I just heard of this for the first time. Do you have to write an essay AT your interview???
If so.....what about?

laura_mideon said:Wow......I can't believe I haven't heard about this til now. I don't know why but it sounds so much scarier when you have a short amount of time to write them an essay.
I guess having to do all those in-class essays in my english pre-reqs will come in handy now (i hope)!
mtech said:Which schools are you applying to? I noticed in another thread that you said you wanted to get into UBC. They definetely do not require you to write an essay during the interview. However, you do have to include some personal statements with your application package.
mtech said:Yeah, I'm in the pharmacy program at UBC.
vafcarrot said:I bet schools do this to make sure you didn't "borrow" your writing from the internet or make a rough draft of your personal statement and then get your mom or somebody to completely write it over for you.

Oh my god, congratulations!! That's so awesome. How many schools did you apply to? Are you going crazy? When I get accepted I'm just going to jump up and down for a month!!! 😀mtech said:Got accepted into the program starting this September 🙂

So many things were going through my mind. It really took awhile to really sink in though, to tell you the truth. It was probably the most relief I've ever felt in my life.mtech said:😀 Thanks! Yeah, I found out I got accepted while I was at work (at the beginning of July) and the first thing I did was run out to the nearest payphone to phone my parents. I think I stood at the phone for a good 20 seconds before I remembered my own phone number (I couldn't even remember our area code)! So many things were going through my mind.
