Interview for direct accession

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
My experience was that it was just a check in a box and going through the motions. I did pretty terrible and suffered no issues. Just have a decent explanation for why you want to join and you should be good...

Ive done hundreds of the interviews. I use them to ensure you know what you are getting into. If you cant verbalize anything ie why do you want to join the navy, and you waste my time, Ill fill out the form to represent that I dont want you joining my medical corps. Heck- Go join the Army they dont require interviews and according to one of their recruiters "dont care about personality issues."

I stand corrected- Image that a Recruiter lied to me 🙂

It would be odd if they didn't considering they are the biggest mover/shaker training (residency matching) and personnel wise in military medicine. 😛 Go Army!
