Sorry if this has been covered in previous posts but I was wondering if anyone could shine some light on how interviews are usually run.

I know that it must vary between each school but, in general, are the interviews more technical or behavioral? Will you be given a case and asked to provide a probable diagnosis? Or is it mostly, "tell us why you want to be a doctor"... "why do you want to attend this school"...?

haha that would be funny to witness. Take a look at the interview feedback forum You can look at each school (MD and DO) and you can read the types of questions that are typically asked at each school and also read the applciants impressions on the school!

Thanks! This is awesome. First time on, just learning the layout.

Also, in addition to looking at the interview feedback. Prepare yourself for the "tell me about yourself" question. This, or something like this, will come up in your interviews. This question stumps many of the students I interview in mocks because the question is so vague.

Use this question as a tool to tell the interviewer who you are. what makes you tick? What turns you on? What are you doing for fun? What interests you? What is important to you? Get personal with this question.

I only mention this because this is one question I don't see show up on the interview feedback forms, but are reported as a common question by interviewers.
