I have my first interview coming up (this week at NYU) and I have realized that I really have no idea what to expect...

None of my friends have ever done anything like this before and my professors don't offer that good of advice... I have been figuring out this whole DAT and admissions process entirely on my own and now I am wondering what I can do to prepare mentally as well as what I MUST be prepared for...I'm SO NERVOUS (especially because I don't speak very eloquently and any advice would help 🙂 TIA

PS. I also have interviews lined up at Nova Southeastern University and Temple University so far...so if anyone has any insight that would be great!

First advice relax....be yourself and visit the interview feedback section of SDN for NYU its http://studentdoctor.net/schools/school/nyucd view survey results located below pie chart.

Click on SEE ALL below each specific question.

I would also visit school's website for information to see if I can answer some generic questions like Why NYU? etc.

The link above has a few great resources if you want to know some basics about the field and also has a ton of questions. I commute quite a distance to work so I used to record the questions on my MP3 player and do a "mock interview" while driving

The link Voager gave is best way to get questions asked at NYU in the past...basically give that priority 1. If time permits, scan through the interview questions from the above link. I am sure you'll see a ton of repetition but there will be a few novel questions there. Good luck!
