I have a couple of questions here for anyone who has an opinion on it:
When asked "what career you would choose if you couldn't be a pharmacist, what would you choose?" what is really the right answer?
In all honesty I can't think of another profession that I REALLY want to do. I would have to do something and so I would probably go on and get an advanced degree in some field of psychology. However, is this a "wrong" answer? What do you think the purpose of asking this question is?

I would want to see an applicant respond with something that involves applied learning, person-person contact, helping/teaching/benefitting, continued education.

These are the primary traits of the profession, showing that you genuinely want to help people for a career would be key.

Thanks for the advice 🙂

I like your answer...especially starting it the way you did. It's hard to tell what they're looking for in the response. Someone who has no back-up plan may appear to some as one who does not plan ahead...but then again they could be seen as determined and full of self-confidence by another. Who knows? Just be honest.
