Hey guys,

I just got interview invitation from Midwestern AZ.

I scheduled interview, and im wondering if I can get any ideas about their interview and schools because I live in East side, I have no idea about Arizona.

I would appreciate about any informations.

The Midwestern interview, to me, was the least stressful of all the ones I had. They are pretty relaxed and just ask you the basic questions about why you want to be a dentist and they try to get a feel for who you are. I didn't get any hard issue or tricky questions.

It is a nice school- They just have graduate programs, so it is small if you are coming from a large university. Their curriculum stresses the ability to work and manage your future practice independently. (For example, as a dental student, you have to make sure all of your materials and procedures are profitable at the end of each month).

Arizona, in my opinion, is unbearably hot outside 8 months out of the year- the other four are really comfortable. But that doesn't matter- you'll be inside most of the time anyway.

From the impression I had, it seemed to be a great program. I would have accepted their offer if I hadn't gotten an offer from my instate school. Good luck with your interview!

Thank you for good informations James!!

Did Midwestern have you update your information on the portal and verify that your address, cell phone, and email was correct before you got the interview? I had to do this last night and was excited to get some activity from them.

Actually, they called me about interview invitation before send out email. When I went on the portal to schedule my interview, yes they want me to verify my informations.

Hope this helps.

Midwestern's interview was one of the best that I had. It was very laid back, I had Dr. Polk and it was extremely relaxed. He asked me the basics, why dentistry, why MWU. He asked me what would set me apart as a dentist compared to other students. He also asked me the cheating question. Then he asked me what is something that I regretted doing in the past, and if I had 24 hours to do anything I wanted and money and travel wasn't a limitation, what would it be. Those two questions were unexpected, but not too difficult to answer. Then the student asked me how I would handle and organize my time, balancing family life with school. Although there were a lot of questions, it was very unintimidating. The students were awesome and the facilities are incredible. I got accepted there Dec. 1 and deposited, and I just got into my in-state school last week, so now I am considering them as well (because of cost). The cost of MWU is the only downside in my opinion, everything else about the school is amazing. Feel free to personal message me if you have any other questions about the interview. Good luck!

Oh no! Don't waffle, stick with MWU, you'll love it. Well, actually, if I weren't doing military I would have gone to my state school, so I can't blame you if you decide against it.

I know, I wish the costs were tue same cause I love everything about MWU, but at the end if the day, cash is king although MWU is an awesome school.

MWU was great, but so is cutting your tuition/student loan debt in half. That money just takes longer and longer to pay off when school is all said and done.

Word on the street is that invites are given out for all 110 spots, and they already received about 70 deposits. About 150 are on the alternate list thus far

Hey guys,

do they usually call or email about the interview. I checked the portal today and it said schedule interview and I did for the 02/23, but I never got an email or anything about this interview😕
