interview invitation questions. advice please

Hi everyone.
I wonder if you could give me some advice.
Im so cal resident, apply to 13 schools, submitted and complete app on mid July.
right now i have 7 interview invitations.
I just had interviews at USC and Western last couple weeks. In November, I have Case western and Detroit mercy back to back (11/2) and nova (11/16). UNLV (12/14)
however, i just received the invitation from ucsf (11/5 <=they picked the date) today and I am thinking should i cancel the Detroit mercy and Case and save money? I already booked my flight to Case and Detroit mercy.
I really prefer to california
my stat: gpa 3.9, 3.9
dat: TS 23, PAT 24.

what do you guys think. any advice is appreciated. Thank you so so much.

I would love for you to give me Detroit Mercy but again be grateful of what you have and go to ALL as you will never know where you will end up.

Sure. If you're not down with those schools (or locations), don't go.

with those stats as a Cali res. Cancel them and hit up UCSF. you have a higher chance IMO to get into UCSF since they gave you a spot before Dec. GOOD LUCK! I'm sure you'll nail it. I'm quite jealous of your awesome scores :/ Well Done

hey i got UCSF on the 5th too!

i would go to all of them, but dropping Detroit isnt a bad idea, especially since you like California

If you're feeling baselessly confident that you'll definitely get an acceptance from one of those prestigious schools and 100% sure that you don't want to go to DM, you can be altruistic and decline the DM pre-Dec interview so someone who might actually want to go there can get an pre-Dec interview.

I know exactly what you mean.. I got 10 interviews (9-post, 1 pre) myself and I just recently declined one of mine. (it cost 750 dollars for 1 night stay + 2 layover on the way there AND BACK)

It's just too much money and the cost is coming at me too fast.

I say.. do what your gut tells you to do. I keep thinking about the 1 I declined and keep pondering "what if" I don't get into all 9 and the 1 one I missed out on gives me an acceptance. The wait is torture but financially I can't handle it, so I had no choice. GL!!

It's not being ungrateful for the invites but seriously, we're college students!!
