Interview invite before LORs submitted?

I submitted my UNMC secondary last week and, within a few hours, I received an email confirming my interview date. I was surprised as my LORs are not in, yet. Is this a common practice among many schools, or, is UNMC an anomaly?

Are you a resident of Nebraska? I think UNMC hands out interviews to all in-state applicants.

Congrats on not being one of the 36! I know what you mean though. One of my state schools gave out interview invites before people submitted their secondaries.
