interview invite phenomenon

Did anyone else get all of their interview invites within the same week and then hear nothing more for several weeks?

well, i can't say i got all of them in the same week, but i haven't heard from any schools about interviews since october... 🙁

no in the same week or anything like that....

an invite in sept, 3 in oct, and then silence...

they come in waves from what my friends in med school tell me.

I feel a pattern:

First week of October: 4 invites

First week of November: 2 invites

First week of December: 2 invites

Yes, definitely a pattern.

A group of invites one week

then I go to them about a month later

Then right when I get back I get some more

I;m not complaining

I actually live here. I spent my whole life here. I was in the US for undergrad only.

It seems that rejections also come in waves.

3 during the second week of October
3 during the second week of December

but at least there were 3 interview invited during the second week of November. I'm thinking I'll just camp out by the mail box every second week of the month. If the pattern is so regular, it could really relieve the anxiety.
