# interview invites = probable acceptance?

Is there a consensus on the number of interview invites/number of interviews attended that is a safe number to land a EM residency? Also, do most people who have multiple interviews normally match at a top choice? Just becoming a little neurotic during this whole process......

I think the consensus is that 10 interviews gives you a 99% chance of matching.

The data seems to be the most consistent/applicable for US seniors. For independent applicants, it's all over the place. They show more applicants matching at lower board scores than higher board scores, for example.
