Interview Invites???

Seems like Mayo did have a select few dates, but I am going in early January.

I can not figure something out. I applied to 25 programs and have received interview invites at all except 1, RIC. Are there many of you out there that have strong academic records and have not heard from RIC yet? I can not figure it out.

Do you have PM&R spec. research? If not maybe thats what they want?

I have not heard from Spaulding, I rotated there (had a v. good rotation per faculty feedback), but have heard from every other "top 5" program except them....I think a lot of it is when they happen to get to your application.

I have not heard from Spaulding, I rotated there (had a v. good rotation per faculty feedback), but have heard from every other "top 5" program except them....I think a lot of it is when they happen to get to your application.

i haven't heard from spaulding either. i have interviews at ever other place that i applied. i'm not sure what is up. i called them and they said that they are still reviewing apps...

I just got an invite from the MAYO clinic. It seems kinda late. And they are only offering Nov. 29th. That's in a week. I't almost like I was on the waiting list and someone dropped out and I got my chance to interview. Do you think that means that I have less of a chance to get in?

I doubt it. The fact that you are there means that you will look like everyone else. You should have the same shot as the next joe blow. But, I do not know how much pre-interview stock that programs put in applicants. There may be some people who look wonderful on paper and are already at the top of the list, and the interview is just to make sure they are pleasant people. But I am not too sure. Just prepare for the interview and you should do fine.

I just heard from RIC and TIRR. I canceled my Mayo interview because of such a late notification. I couldn't find any flights below $1000. So I thought really hard and decided I wouldn't fit in at Mayo anyway. So if any of you need the Nov. 29th spot. it's yours.

Has anyone heard from Eastern Virginia Medical's Program in Norfolk, VA? They haven't even downloaded my stuff!!! Are they still functioning?
