Interview Invites

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Same. I did 4 interviews, and interviewing is so exhausting. Although, having that many interviews would make me feel a little bit better about matching. Doing the research, traveling, spending nights in hotels, making presentations, going and getting judged drains you after awhile. 😛
My last interview was today and I gotta agree about it being exhausting. Boy I'm tired now. And whats worse is I have no idea how to rank.

We're done though! :zip:

You have some time to think about it. Just go with how you feel and if the program will be able to meet your goals. 🙂

Done with interviews. It's been an emotional roller coaster

Hope we all match. *fingers&toes are crossed*

Good Luck Everyone!

Last interview tomorrow! Can't wait to focus on rotations and no more "tell me about yourself" for a while haha

Last interview done! So glad it's over! I didn't know I could be this exhausted and still function.

Good luck to everyone!

Good luck guys. I still remember waking up at 4am and going to SICU rotation early on the match day to work up my patients due to insomnia. Parking in the off site lot and taking the shuttle in while outside was pitch dark. The butterflies and gloom was replaced by indescribable elation at 0905 when the email came.

It will be a moment that change your lives. My best wishes to everyone who embarked on this career choice.

Be positive!

I really do wish everyone luck. I'm trying to follow my own advice and not worry and that everything happens for a reason, but it is tough. I keep thinking that regardless of what happens, I've accomplished so much more than I thought I would.

I'm just hoping I don't drive my preceptor nuts with my constant email checking 🙂

Thank goodness I'm off that day. I know I wouldn't be able to concentrate on rotations if I had to wait until lunch time to check my email.

I made my friend/classmate check my email for me on match day. I also made my sister open my NAPLEX and MPJE results and my husband open my BCPS results

i'm not off that day, but I know I have a backup in retail at least.

This whole stressful process has seriously made me question this whole "residency" thing 😛

I was tempted to ask my friend to open my email for me. However, I had someone check a grade for me on a test once. Let's just say I did not do that hot, and they didn't know what to say, so I decided not to put anyone in that position again. I can just see the look on their face when they read my email, and it says I didn't match. That would be so awkward.

Yeah, same here. It makes it a little easier to know I have a job at least. If I don't match though, I'm going to look into some hospital positions. Good look to you, I know you've been just as stressed out as I have been (and everyone else)! 😀

I agree. It's not the end of the world if it doesn't work out.

If it does work out, it'll be some huge changes in store for me. If it doesn't, then i'll have to force those changes on myself.

I've just come to the conclusion there is no point stressing over the residency process and questioning it (after interviews are done).

Like everyone said, everything happens for a reason. If I match, great. If I don't match, that's okay too. I'm just grateful I will have a relatively stable occupation that pays three or four times more than what I used to make as a former pharmacy clerk and technician.

Overall, I'm just thankful I will be achieving my dream of becoming a pharmacist. 🙂

👍

Great attitude to have. We all did our best. Now, it's just time to sit and wait. And wait some more. 😛

Anyone still have interviews left? I have one a few days before the rank submission deadline

It was from an institution that initially did not accept my applications but luckily they had a change of heart

Finished my last one 5 hours ago. I thought I was finishing late...

I have one more on Monday! I would certify your list and then change it if needed in case the NMS website decides to pull a PhorCAS.

GOOD LUCK!!

So on match day the email sent to you will tell if you matched and where? You don't need to log on the match website to see this info?

That's what I heard. It's supposed to come like around 7-10AM.

So all the applicants will receive an email, regardless of the match status?

Yes! At least they did in years past. Both years I got an email telling me where I had matched before the results were on the website.

One of the program I applied to, hasn't even given any information yet. I mean isn't it rude that the program cant even email me if I got declined. It is not a big name/teaching hospital and it is a new program. All other programs that I got declined emailed me by february. Moreover, we paid $25 dollar application fee.

That's how most job applications work. Welcome to the real world.

got this email about post match process today from phorcas, anyone got the email too here?

Yes, I was told by an interviewer that I should not panic about logging into PHORCAS to see if I matched because I would get an email around 10-11 a.m telling me where I match if i did get a match.

PST or EST?

7AM to 11AM EST, so super early on the west coast which is where I'll be. I'll get up around 8AM and check it. It should come by then.

There are times I hate being on the East Coast. I'll be checking my phone for emails like a crazy person all morning 🙂

5 more days! I cant believe its almost here!

I know! I'm starting to freak out internally. Just trying to keep it together! This week should theoretically go by fast for me, since I'll be doing something fun. 😛

Are you on rotations? I'm happy I have that day off, so I can celebrate or cry if need be.

Yes, the way my school works we have 8 blocks of rotations, each are 6 weeks, and one of the blocks is "off/vacation". So I'm on my last rotation, though it's with a prof from school so I'm hoping she'll be nice/understanding.

There's a group of us that are going to meet at a local hangout for "Match Day Support Group" that afternoon 🙂

these last two weeks have been a killer gosh..getting anxious

I have been waiting for this week forever, but now that the week is actually here I'm wishing for the opposite. Anxious much? :scared:

LOL you all are killing me with the countdown ! Time will tell all, let's just all stay positive no matter what 🙂
