So I am flying to an interview and would like to avoid having to rent a car. I should be able to take a cab from the airport to hotel and hotel to the school, but I'm wondering what to do with my suitcase. It seems awkward to bring it to the interview. The alternative would be to have the hotel store it and cab back there and pick it up before heading back to the airport. It seems stupid to rent a car only to have somewhere to stow a suitcase. What have others done in this situation??

Also, is there any need to bring anything to interviews--a legal pad to take notes? A copy of my application or personal statement? Or is this unnecessary?

Pretty sure most if not all admissions offices have somewhere to store luggage. They know people are traveling.

Unless you're leaving for the airport immediately after the interview, why not leave your luggage at the hotel?

Everyone brings their luggage to the interview. They will keep it for you, so dont worry about it.

Yeah the luggage can be left in the admissions office. As for the legal pad and other stuff, it seems unnecessary. Most people didn't bring one and its just extra stuff to have to carry around. They will usually give a folder with school related stuff in it if you're worried about having something to do with your hands.
