Interview materials question

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I was thinking about it, and... well, I have a long list of things to ask University of Washington if I get an interview. It's not a list of filler bullcrap either, it's a legitimate list of questions I want answered that I couldn't find answers to. The second they ask if I have any questions for them, that's when the interview starts to get real.

I was thinking of taking a sheet of paper that at least lists those questions or something so I could remember half of them, along with a big briefcase full of materials I've collected about the school, article printouts etcetera.

Does anybody here see anything wrong with that? I was going to call the school on Monday just to ask, but until then, what's the vote?

The piece of paper has come up before and I think people agreed that it was fine if you just wanted to remember your questions. If you want you can just be "Oh I was writing down questions throughout the day so I have a list now if you don't mind". The briefcase I have no idea about. Why do you need to bring the articles?

Remember that since they've given you an interview you are a viable candidate on paper. Mostly interviews are meant to see if you are the sort of normal well adjusted person they would enjoy having roam their halls for the next 4 years. So the question you have to ask yourself is-
"Does carrying around a briefcase full of articles about the school that I then reference during the interview seem like normal behavior?" and, if not, does the information you squeeze out of them with your pointed questioning offset this.

The briefcase does seem like overkill to me. I mean, is there something you're trying to proove to the faculty member interviewing you? Are you trying to be prepared in case they contradict you or something?

I'm gonna go ahead and say that the briefcase full of materials is a bad idea. A list of questions you have about the school is fine, especially since you are evaluating them as well (though certainly not to the extent that they are evaluating you). Anything more than that makes you seem a little creepy.

Ask relavent questions about the school and programs in which you are interested? Yes, good idea. However, avoid being contentious and/or hyper critical with your interviewer.

Writing down some questions? Sure, why not.

Carrying a briefcase full of papers about the school? Bad idea.
